known as the plywood capital of India and
has one of the largest Timber markets in

The Wood logs of poplar trees are now sold
in 2 categories according to the
circumference( गोलाई) of logs.
- Over/Under – size above 14 inch
- Sokta – size between 14 to 10 inch
- Firewood – Size below 10 inch

In may 2024, The Rates prevailing at Yamunanagar Mandi are Over/under – 1450 to 1240 Rs/quintal, Sokta – 760 Rs/Quintal, Firewood- 400 Rs/ Quintal.
The wood rates of new poplar variety such as W109,110, 111,112 are +200 Rs/qtl more than the normal poplar variety such as G48
